There are perhaps hundreds of restaurants to choose from in Yangshuo.
Here are a few of our favourites:
Pure Lotus Vegetarian Restaurant
Offering a superb range of delicious dishes, Pure Lotus is the only dedicated vegetarian restaurant in Yangshuo and definitely worth a visit. Click here to read more.
Cafe China is our sister restaurant and maintains an excellent reputation and location on Yangshuo's West Street . Turn right as you exit Magnolia Hotel, then turn right again and cross over the stone bridge ¨C Caf¨¦ China is on the corner directly ahead, on the right hand side.
With possibly the best coffee on offer in Yangshuo, Caf¨¦ China is a great choice at any time of day. Tasty breakfasts and an extensive menu gives you plenty of quality options for both Western and Chinese food.
- Wonderful, creamy cheesecake
- Delectable, juicy baby back ribs
- Deliciously fragranced, authentic beer fish
Sensational views across the tiled rooftops of Yangshuo are available from the private rooftop dining area. This is the perfect place to escape the madness of West Street and enjoy a fabulous meal. Sit back and relax with a bottle of imported wine as the moon shines its subtle silver rays on the magnificent surrounding limestone karsts. (advance booking for the rooftop is essential)
The Sichuan restaurant in the Yangshuo Sunshine 100 complex does very good Sichuan style food.
Drifters is an old travelers favourite in Yangshuo, serving specials such as shepherds pie, orange duck and apple crumble.
Cloud Nine are located upstairs on the corner of West Street and Chengzhong Road . They are well known for their good Chinese food with many of their Sichuan dishes being very popular.
Beer Fish Restaurant
The most famous of Yangshuo's special dishes, Beer Fish is perhaps a must try for travelers.
Most restaurants in Yanghsuo offer Beer Fish. The nature of the dish and fluidity of Chinese cooking means that each dish in each restaurant is likely to taste slightly different, in accordance with the chef's personal style.
Another Chinese favourite is barbeque. There are many small barbeque stands scattered throughout town in the evenings making fantastic little snack stops.
